Med det menas att ett certifieringsorgan formellt godkänner ledningssystemet. OHSAS 18001 - giltigheten för denna arbetsmiljöstandard har förlängts med 6 månader, vilket betyder att den gäller t o m 2021-09-11. Företag som vill uppgradera sin certifiering ifrån OHSAS 18001 till ISO 45001 får således lite mer tid på sig.
